Ben Ransford, CEO & Co-founder, is a listen-first designer and system builder who always asks to look in customers' wiring closets. He has a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and speaks regularly on medical device security.
Kevin Fu, Chief Scientist & Co-founder, started in healthcare IT before earning a Ph.D. in electrical engineering & computer science from MIT. He is also a professor at the University of Michigan, where he designed & taught the first college course on medical device security. He regularly advises regulatory, government, and industry bodies on matters of cybersecurity.

Core Team

Ron Anson, Sales Director, cut his teeth at medical device companies and has served in sales and business development roles across the healthcare industry for more than two decades. He has a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Andrew DeOrio, full-stack engineer, holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Michigan. He is also on the faculty at Michigan, where he teaches courses on Web Systems.
Henrik Holm, VP of Engineering, is the world's best dad and an expert in signal processing. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Norwegian University Of Science And Technology.
Michael Holt, head of operations, keeps us running at full capacity and is also an expert in grant management and accounting. He holds a business degree from the University of South Carolina.
Janet Holt, director and general counsel, is an experienced hospital and corporate board member who advises public and private companies on strategy and risk management. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a law degree from the University of Virginia.
Bertrand Irissou, director, is the co-founder of Audeme, which builds technology that leverages the acoustic environment. Previously, he founded ASIC Advantage, a fabless semiconductor company, and led its acquisition by Microsemi.


Jim Ricotta is an experienced high-growth company CEO, board member, and Fortune 500 division GM. CEO of four venture-backed companies that produced exits totaling $1 Billion. He won an Emmy Award for outstanding engineering achievement in developing Avid's digital editing system.
